Rarewake Vault Support
Answers to common questions about scanning, inventory, backup, graded cards, and printable QR labels.
Rarewake Vault is a local-first trading card inventory app. Use your iPhone camera to scan supported barcodes and QR codes, create inventory records, track graded cards and certification numbers, and assign physical storage locations such as boxes, binders, shelves, cases, or other locations you define.
Version 1.0 does not require a Vault account or Rarewake-operated cloud synchronization. Your Vault inventory database is stored locally on your device.
- Make sure camera permission is enabled for Rarewake Vault in your device settings.
- Make sure the full barcode or QR code is visible in frame.
- Improve lighting and avoid strong glare across the code.
- Move slightly closer or farther away if the camera is having trouble focusing.
- For Rarewake inventory labels, QR is the recommended format. Vault also supports Code 128 inventory labels.
- For graded slabs, Vault can use supported certification barcodes and QR codes. A front barcode may provide only the certification number, while a supported grader QR may also identify the grading company.
Set a card's condition to Graded to record its grading company, grade, and certification number. A graded slab can use its certification number as its physical identifier, so a separate Rarewake label is not required.
If you want a Vault-specific identifier on the slab, you can optionally assign a Vault SKU and generate a Rarewake QR label.
If you do not have a thermal label printer, Vault can generate sheets of pre-reserved QR inventory tags for ordinary US Letter printer paper. Print the sheet, cut out the tags, and place them inside or behind card holders or toploaders.
Preprinted QR SKUs are reserved by Vault so the automatic SKU generator will not assign the same identifier to another card.
Version 1.0 stores your Vault inventory locally on your device and does not provide Rarewake-operated cloud backup or recovery.
We recommend periodically using CSV Export to create a separate copy of your inventory and storing that file somewhere safe. Your device or operating-system provider may also include app data in device backups depending on your settings.
Deleted cards are moved to Settings → Trash before permanent deletion. You can restore a card from Trash if needed. Permanently deleted cards cannot be restored through Vault.
