Rarewake Vault Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Rarewake Vault ("Vault," "the app," "we," "us") handles information when you use the app. It applies to Rarewake Vault version 1.0. It does not cover the Rarewake Trading Co. website, which has its own privacy policy.

Local-First By Design

Rarewake Vault version 1.0 does not require an account and does not use cloud synchronization. Your inventory information — card records, storage locations, condition notes, and acquisition costs — is stored locally on your device.

Camera Access

Rarewake Vault requests camera access to scan Code 128 SKU barcodes. Camera images and video used during normal barcode scanning are not intentionally stored by the app; the camera is used to read the barcode value, not to save photos or footage.

No Account Required

Version 1.0 does not require you to create a Rarewake Vault account, and we do not collect account credentials because none exist in this version.

We Do Not Sell Your Information

Rarewake Vault does not intentionally sell users' personal information.

CSV Export

You can export your inventory to a CSV file at any time. That export is initiated by you, and the resulting file is handled and shared entirely through your device's own operating system functionality (for example, its share sheet) — Rarewake does not receive a copy of your export.

Data You Control

Because inventory data lives on your device, you control it directly. Deleting the app or its data removes that information from your device. Rarewake Vault does not currently offer a way to recover locally-stored data if it is deleted, since there is no cloud backup in version 1.0.

Future Versions

Future versions of Rarewake Vault may introduce cloud synchronization, user accounts, analytics, market pricing services, or other functionality that involves network connectivity. If and when that happens, this Privacy Policy will be updated to accurately describe what is collected and why, before those features become active.

What We Don't Claim

We don't claim GDPR or CCPA certification, HIPAA compliance, SOC certification, or any specific encryption certification for Rarewake Vault. This policy describes our actual current practices in plain language rather than asserting formal compliance frameworks.

Children's Privacy

Rarewake Vault is not directed at children and is not intended for use by children.

Changes To This Policy

If our data practices materially change — for example, with the introduction of cloud sync or accounts — this Privacy Policy will be updated and the effective date above will change accordingly.
