Rarewake Vault Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 11, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Rarewake Vault ("Vault," "the app," "we," "us") handles information when you use the app. It applies to Rarewake Vault version 1.0. It does not cover the Rarewake Trading Co. website, which has its own privacy policy.

Local-First By Design

Rarewake Vault version 1.0 does not require an account and does not provide Rarewake-operated cloud synchronization. Inventory information you enter into Vault — such as card records, storage locations, condition information, grading information, certification numbers, acquisition costs, notes, and Vault SKUs — is stored locally on your device.

Your device or operating-system provider may separately include app data in device backups or other backup services depending on your settings. Those services are controlled by their respective providers and are not operated by Rarewake Vault.

Camera Access

Rarewake Vault requests camera access for its scanning features. The camera may be used to scan supported barcodes and QR codes, including Vault inventory identifiers and certification identifiers associated with graded trading cards.

Camera images and video used during scanning are not intentionally stored by Rarewake Vault. The camera is used to read encoded information rather than to save photographs or video.

Graded Card Information

Vault allows you to record information about graded trading cards, including grading company, grade, certification number, and an optional Vault SKU. This information is stored as part of your local inventory.

Vault may recognize supported grading-company information contained directly within scanned barcodes or QR codes. Version 1.0 does not use this feature to retrieve card metadata from grading-company websites.

QR Codes and Printable Labels

Vault can generate QR codes and printable inventory labels containing Vault SKUs. These labels may be printed or shared using functionality provided by your device. Rarewake Vault does not receive a copy of the generated label or document through this process.

No Account Required

Version 1.0 does not require you to create a Rarewake Vault account, and Rarewake Vault does not collect account credentials because no Vault account exists in this version.

We Do Not Sell Your Information

Rarewake Vault does not sell users' personal information.

CSV Export

You can export your inventory to a CSV file. Exports are initiated by you, and the resulting file is handled through functionality provided by your device, such as its share sheet. Rarewake Vault does not receive a copy of your exported inventory through this process.

Data You Control

Because Vault's inventory database is stored locally, you control that data through the app and your device. Rarewake Vault does not provide its own cloud backup or recovery service in version 1.0.

Deleting local data or deleting the app may remove information stored by Vault from your device. Copies may still exist in device or operating-system backups if you have those services enabled.

Support Communications

If you contact Rarewake for support by email, we receive the email address you use, the contents of your message, and any information or attachments you choose to provide. This information is used to respond to your request and provide support.

Future Versions

Future versions of Rarewake Vault may introduce functionality such as cloud synchronization, user accounts, analytics, market-pricing services, or other network-connected features. If our data practices change, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe the applicable practices.

Security and Privacy Practices

Rarewake Vault is designed to limit unnecessary collection of user information. Version 1.0 uses a local-first inventory model and does not require a Rarewake Vault account or Rarewake-operated cloud synchronization. No method of electronic storage or device security can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children's Privacy

Rarewake Vault is not directed to children and is not intended for use by children.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Vault changes. If our data practices materially change, the effective date above will be updated accordingly.
